Choose your day - Coach Cass

Sorry it has been awhile since my last post.  Life has taken some wonderful and crazy turns which happens when you hit that reset button.  Working towards goals can sometimes change your course a bit.  I have taken a new job which I absolutely love.  This means I have left the fitness industry as far as my job goes.  I do still plan on coaching people to live healthier, better lives as I continue to work towards reclaiming my own. I have continued to make progress towards my goals.  It has been a bit slower than I would like, but it is progress.  Part of starting over is making sure to take solid steps forward which sometimes means it is not speedy.  Remember, the tortoise wins.  Sure, steady steps is what will get you there.  My nutrition is back on track.  My workouts keep getting better.  For awhile, I am having to go this on my own without a trainer kicking my booty.  Coach Ben is still here taking this journey with ...

Let's face it...It can be tough: Coach Cass

Some days are way more difficult than others.  Personal stress, work stress, family stress, whatever the stress can make you feel like you just don't want to do.  These are the days when we need to dig deep and remember why we are doing it.  To be honest, I am having one of those days today.  My workout will be happening at home tonight, and I know I am going to have to make myself do it because right now I don't want to.  I know if I don't do it, I will feel like I didn't finish the day right.  And now because I have shared with you that I am going to do the workout, I have my accountability :-) Reminding myself of my "Why" has become something very important for me to do.  I keep a post-it note on my computer that reads, "Remember Why."  I want to constantly remember what  my motivations are.  We have to know why we want something to make it happen and stay moving forward.  This journey isn't for anyone other than myself and my ...

I love when a plan comes together...

I am almost two weeks into this journey from where I started.  I can tell you that I feel like a better version of myself already (I have a long ways to go yet, but I am headed in the right direction).  I quit drinking energy drinks!!  I was drinking 1-2 a day.  So not good for me, but I hadn't been taking care of myself and was so tired all the time.  I was relying on them just to get through the day.  Living a healthier lifestyle means making the changes we need to be that better version of ourself.  It was tough giving up the energy drinks, but I feel so much better without them! I have started training with 1 of my two trainers.  I will be working with Trainer Mark and Trainer Troy at Fitness Evolution.  Mark has now trained me 3 times.  Let me tell you that those workouts pushed me.  They were everything I needed!  The 3 of us are planning out my journey and my workouts. In hitting that reset button...

It's Time to Hit the Reset Button- Coach Cass

Where do I go from here?  This is a question I have been asking myself a lot lately.  The time has come in my life to hit the reset button.  I have let life take over in so many areas of my life that I don't recognize who I am anymore.  This journey is not going to be easy, but I have decided to take it and bring you along for the ride.  It is a journey of taking back my health and my life.  Where to begin?  I suppose I should maybe introduce myself to you, bring you up to speed on who I am and how I got here. I am Cass or Coach Cass, half of the members of this journey that is being shared with you.  I am a single mother of two beautiful children: a 9 year old son (Z) and a 3 year old daughter (E).  I'm sure you will encounter tales of the two of them through this journey.  I work in the fitness industry as a Corporate Wellness Coach/Director.  My job is to help other people live healthy an vibrant lives.  I l...
