Choose your day - Coach Cass
Sorry it has been awhile since my last post. Life has taken some wonderful and crazy turns which happens when you hit that reset button. Working towards goals can sometimes change your course a bit. I have taken a new job which I absolutely love. This means I have left the fitness industry as far as my job goes. I do still plan on coaching people to live healthier, better lives as I continue to work towards reclaiming my own.
I have continued to make progress towards my goals. It has been a bit slower than I would like, but it is progress. Part of starting over is making sure to take solid steps forward which sometimes means it is not speedy. Remember, the tortoise wins. Sure, steady steps is what will get you there. My nutrition is back on track. My workouts keep getting better. For awhile, I am having to go this on my own without a trainer kicking my booty. Coach Ben is still here taking this journey with me, but his life too is heading in new different directions. I promise I will get him to start blogging too! He has great wisdom to share about living healthy and starting over.
One thing I can impart to day is to truly choose how you want your life to go. I recently read a quote about having a good or bad day. It was something like, "Did you have a bad day, or a good day that had 5 minutes of bad?" Each day we are going to have something that doesn't go how we would like or how we planned. Are you going to let that 5 minutes dictate your day or are you going to have the great day you can choose to have despite 5 minutes of yuck? The choice really is yours. Choose your happy and choose to share that happy with those you care about. Remember that your happy is based on you, not those around you, and that you share that happy with people.
Kick some butt and take some names today! Make it a fabulous day taking at least a step towards your goals!
